We are recruiting for a number of FP&A Analysts to join our Finance team in Bristol. This is for a 12 month fixed-term contract.

In this newly created role you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the firm’s performance. By helping to develop standardised FP&A processes and analysis, you will play a key part in delivering transparent financial data to aid the firm’s profitability strategy and drive change.

You will work within the commercial reporting team to deliver and maintain current month end and ad-hoc reporting, while we work together to develop the future of self-service reporting.

 

Your Role

As an FP&A Analyst your day-to-day remit includes:

  • Creating financial analysis which provides actionable insight to the legal groups
  • Aid in the creation and analysis of budgets and forecasting.
  • Work closely with the commercial business partnering team, supporting with analysis to drive profitability improvement
  • Support and maintain month end reporting activities
  • Service ad hoc data requests from the fee earning groups. Think laterally about how these requests can be delivered more efficiently
  • Work as part of a team to build the future of self-service reporting and analysis
  • Work with the team to deliver existing reporting more efficiently and effectively
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects which support the firm’s profit improvement and pricing strategies

 

Your Skills and Experience

  • Be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA), or equivalent
  • Have strong experience in an FP&A role
  • Demonstrate experience in developing new analysis which provides actionable insight
  • Be able to think laterally to solve problems within an evolving finance team
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Comfortable working under own initiative, whilst prioritising tasks to work to deadlines.
  • Possess a natural affinity for technology, process thinking, and process improvement
  • Preferably have knowledge of the Microsoft Power apps, and a strong desire to learn.

 

Your Team

Our Finance and Procurement team are key to strategic decision making, providing key management information, data and analysis to ensure our business runs smoothly and that we comply with all our statutory and regulatory obligations. To do this effectively, these teams take responsibility for billing, payments, credit control, purchasing, client accounting, commercial business partnering, reporting, sourcing, buying and more.
