This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in our Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester or London offices, operating on a flexible hybrid basis.

Your Role

This is a dual-facing role that combines internal business partnering with hands-on client legal operations delivery. The role supports the transformation of how legal services are conceived, designed and delivered, using innovation, technology and alternative delivery models to create measurable value for both the firm and its clients.

Embedded within a practice group, the role works closely with lawyers to identify opportunities for innovation and improve service delivery. In parallel, it works directly with client legal teams to support the development of modern, efficient legal operations, drawing on proven solutions developed within the firm.

The role contributes to strengthening TLT’s position as a leader in legal innovation and supports the ongoing development of a culture of continuous improvement.

As a Legal Transformation Manager, you will:

  • Enable the adoption of generative AI and legal technology within legal teams, supporting integration into day-to-day client work.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of client-facing products, services and operating models that improve efficiency, quality and value.
  • Analyse legal workflows to identify opportunities to disaggregate work and deploy alternative delivery models, improving capacity and effectiveness.
  • Support the delivery of innovation initiatives, including requirements gathering, project coordination, ROI assessment and post-implementation review.
  • Work alongside senior colleagues to support legal operations and transformation engagements with clients, contributing to strong, long-term relationships.
  • Contribute to TLT’s market profile through participation in innovation initiatives, thought leadership and promotion of FutureLaw capabilities.

Your Skills and Experience

Our employees are curious and creative, who embrace our values of challenging convention, going beyond expectation and working side-by-side with clients and colleagues.

You will be able to demonstrate a similar collaborative, flexible and driven ethos and will have accumulated the following experience and skills:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an innovation, legal operations or transformation role within a law firm or legal department, supporting projects from ideation through to implementation.
  • Prior legal practice experience, and a good understanding of the legal market and service delivery challenges, ideally gained as a qualified lawyer
  • Working knowledge of generative AI and legal technologies, including exposure to legal AI tools, document automation and innovation platforms.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to identify opportunities and contribute to practical solutions.
  • Organised and delivery-focused approach, with experience supporting projects, gathering requirements and contributing to value delivery.
