We are seeking an HR Administrator to join our HR team in Bristol.

Our HR Helpdesk team is the first point of contact for HR queries across the firm. Clear, professional and friendly communication is essential to delivering a responsive and high quality HR service.

Your Role

As an HR Administrator, you’ll be right at the heart of our people operations. No two days will look the same, and you’ll play a big part in making sure colleagues across the firm get the support they need.

Here’s a flavour of what you’ll be doing:

  • Be the friendly first point of contact for HR queries via Teams, phone and email — helping colleagues with everything from policies and contracts to benefits, Reward, L&D and HR system questions.
  • Support key HR processes including onboarding, changes to roles or personal details, family friendly leave and leaver processes. You’ll also create contracts and letters and become the team’s “superuser” for one of our HR Helpdesk areas.
  • Keep our HR and payroll data spot on, making sure starters, leavers, salary changes and other updates are processed accurately and on time. You’ll also help with system testing where needed.
  • Look after our digital records — keeping trackers, files and documents organised, complete and GDPR compliant.
  • Get involved in monthly payroll checks, helping us make sure everything looks as it should.
  • Take notes and minutes for a variety of HR meetings, capturing key points clearly and accurately.
  • Dive into extra tasks and projects, whether that’s pulling together reports, supporting wider HR activity, or helping with day-to-day admin.
  • Help us keep improving by suggesting fresh ideas for updating processes, templates and guides.
  • And of course, you’ll role model TLT’s behaviours in everything you do.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Minimum GCSE level education (or equivalent), with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience in HR administration and working with operational HR or recruitment systems, ideally within a team environment.
  • CIPD Level 3 (or above) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Strong IT literacy, particularly in MS Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively under pressure and work independently.
  • High level of attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity, integrity and discretion.
  • Flexible, adaptable and proactive approach, comfortable responding to changing priorities.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across the HR team and wider firm.
