We are recruiting for an eBilling Specialist to join our Finance team in Bristol.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for the eBilling ledger, managing circa 40 clients and their respective billing platforms. This new role will support our growing eBilling ledger and ensure seamless client onboarding and alignment with client requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate submission of bills across multiple client portals including standard PDF upload and LEDES/XML format.

Your Role

Reporting into the Billing Manager, the eBilling Specialist will:

  • Be the point of contact for client onboarding and ensure all relevant information is captured and that files are set up correctly in readiness for eBilling
  • Be an expert in eBilling including complex LEDES files
  • Be able to set up LEDES files which cover both standard and client specific formatting requirements to ensure its successful first-time upload into client portals
  • Effectively use a wide range of client portals to input and review outstanding invoices, ensuring all bills are received and uploaded promptly and without error
  • Regularly review eBilling platforms and action any billing queries and/or rejections
  • Create and maintain weekly reports with commentary
  • Lead weekly review meetings with the Billing Team Manager and provide status updates and solutions to assist with resolving aged debt issues
  • Take ownership of managing the portal data management record, ensuring all data is current and relevant 
  • Escalate any issues with the Billing Team Manager in a timely manner
  • Develop and maintain standardised training documentation, ensuring consistent client processes across the team
  • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and implement interim enhancements as we prepare for a system upgrade
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders internally to assist in driving performance and proactively drive down eBilling debt
  • Support the Billing Team during busy periods (including month-end / year-end), responding to general billing queries and requests using the firms ticketing system 

 

Your Skills and Experience

  • Have at least 2 years’ experience working in a similar eBilling role
  • Have experience using eBilling platforms such as Serengeti, Brightflag, Legal tracker and SAP either within an eBilling department or credit control department
  • Have extensive eBilling and reconciliation experience, with strong knowledge of diverse file formats and systems including LEDES/XML files
  • Be able to demonstrate understanding of what a LEDES/XML file is and how they work, including how to manually amend files to resolve formatting errors
  • Have a high level of data accuracy, with a proven track record of precise input and attention to detail
  • Demonstrate a commitment to outstanding client service
  • Display excellent verbal and written communication skills, as the role requires collaboration with colleagues and clients at all levels
  • Demonstrate the ability to work pro-actively under pressure and adapt to challenges
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset and a willingness to participate as part of the wider billing team
