We have an urgent requirement for a Contract Lawyer with experience in eDisclosure and Document Review to support our Document Review Team in Bristol. This will be on an initial 6-month contract and will be paid a day rate via an Umbrella Company.

The role will require hybrid working from our Bristol office therefore, we are looking to speak with candidates who reside within the Bristol vicinity or within a communicable distance.

Your Role

As a key addition to the existing team, day to day you will be involved with:

  • Advising a broad range of stakeholders on a variety of commercial dispute resolution matters, regulatory investigations and DSARS seeking eDiscovery support to include scoping out the process from review to following it through to production.
  • Using eDiscovery technology to a high level.
  • Collaborating closely with the Partners and wider team nationwide.
  • Taking an active role with supervision and providing coaching and guidance of junior team members.
  • Provide training and advise the teams on the application and the efficient use of technology. Use expertise and hands on experience with eDiscovery tools to provide technical solutions for projects.
  • Managing your financial outputs carefully, and to encourage those around you to do the same, ensuring changes to time/cost/quality to the project are properly considered and managed.

Your Skills & Experience

You will be:

  • A Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered), with the ability to work independently with limited supervision / will consider those who have worked in law firms who have strong eDiscovery background.
  • A proven Commercial Dispute Resolution background with a good knowledge of litigation principles together with experience of working on document review projects.
  • Proven ability to run large documents review projects.
  • Proven technical abilities of the disclosure process.
  • Proven ability to work on DSARs.
  • A forward thinker, with excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills, you will be self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines.
  • Commercially aware with some exposure to business development, with the ability to maintain and nurture strong client relationships.
  • Able to develop a deep understanding of your client’s business needs, and act in the best interest of the firm and the client.
  • Able to contribute to our collaborative culture, with an ambition to assist in the development of junior team members.
