We are newly recruiting for an Associate to join our Banking & Finance team in Scotland on a full-time, flexible working basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior banking lawyer to develop their career, as part of our fast growing banking team in Scotland.

 

Your Role

As a key addition to our growing team, day to day you can expect to be involved with:

  • Market leading corporate and asset based lending transactions in Scotland and across the UK
  • Leveraged finance transactions for both lenders and private equity clients
  • Managing your own transactions for a variety of clients
  • Providing an excellent service to our clients by working closely with colleagues from across the UK in both the Banking team and other specialisms
  • Participating in business development initiatives and activities which, build and help to strengthen relationships with our clients

 

Your Skills & Experience

We are looking for:

  • A Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) between 1-3 year's PQE with a legal background in banking/finance
  • A forward thinker, with excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills, you will be self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines
  • Commercial awareness with enthusiasm for business development and an appetite for keeping up to date with the latest developments in your practice area and sector focus
  • An ability to understand client’s business needs, acting in the best interest of the firm and the client
  • An ambitious and enthusiastic team player, able to support senior fee earners and contribute to our collaborative culture

 

Your Team

Operating from offices across the UK, our expanding and ambitious partner-led team provide tactical, commercially minded services across all aspects of financing. We act for a broad range of debt funders and have positions on the general lending panels of nearly all the high street lenders. In addition, we act for a wide spectrum of corporate borrowers in all of our key sectors in the investment and non-investment grade spaces.
