Contract Lawyer - Employment

TLT are looking for Contract Employment Lawyers with Tribunal Experience to support the Employment Team at TLT. The role will be on an initial 3-6 month contract and will be paid a day rate via an Umbrella Company. As this is an urgent request, candidates ideally will be immediately available or have a 1-2 week notice period.

Role Responsibility

• Key duties you will be involved with include:
• Employment tribunal claims (almost exclusively acting for Respondents)
• Supporting on major cases, and in particular taking witness statements.
• Helping employers manage issues in the workplace such as disciplinaries, grievances, restructuring and redundancies
• Providing employment law support in corporate deals and outsourcing contracts, contract drafting and client training
• Enforcement of post termination restrictive covenants
• Drafting of contracts of employment, consultancy agreements, staff handbooks, settlement agreements and other employment related documentation

The Ideal Candidate

• You will be able to demonstrate a similar supportive, flexible and driven ethos and will have accumulated the following experience and skills with previous Employment experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters, acting for the respondent.
• A Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered)
• Experience advising large private sector employers
• Background in Tribunal litigation
• Ability to juggle a busy and varied workload
• Enthusiastic & team approach to working
