We are recruiting for a Senior HR Systems and Reporting Manager to join our HR team in Bristol. This is a permanent role being offered on a hybrid working basis. 

Supported by a small team of analysts and working within the broader context of TLT’s IT and data strategy,  you will be responsible for leading and contributing to the People and HR systems strategy, for the management, development and maintenance of the People and HR systems and for facilitating the provision of high quality HR related data and reporting in support of the Firm’s People Strategy and ambitions.

You will also support the development and embracing of new technologies, especially developments in the Microsoft suite and AI

Your Role

As an Senior HR Systems and Reporting Manager your day to day remit includes

  • Systems: 
    • Play a key role in the strategic thinking and direction of the Firm’s HR Systems and their interaction with other key TLT systems including data flow processes between HR systems and wider TLT systems.   
    • Work with internal project teams, IT, Change Team and the Transformation Partner, where applicable to input and contribute expertise into any wider TLT system and data flow projects and developments that involve HR systems in support of wider organisational business needs. 
    • Be accountable for ensuring the effective management and support of all HR and Payroll System administration matters to ensure an effective and functional provision for the wider HR Team and internal stakeholders.  Including, but not limited to,  iTrent (HR/Payroll), Harbour (Recruitment), TLT People through Cornerstone (Supervision/LMS/Appraisals and performance management), the Exit Interview service and any relevant Facilities systems which also fall within the HR remit.
    • This includes the facilitation and overseeing implementation of all quarterly and ad-hoc systems upgrades for the HR systems, including appropriate user and people manager testing in all system environments (live, dev, test), appropriate scheduling with software providers and liaison with key stakeholders in HR, IT, Knowledge Management, payroll and other impacted teams.
    • Work to identify, design and project manage potential enhancements into HR’s existing system provision to meet HR and wider organisational business needs, including but not limited to:
      • New or replacement HR and Facilities systems or software when needed
      • Functional enhancements or upgrades to existing systems
      • Incorporation of new available technology
      • Increased automation wherever viable
      • Support for HR process improvements and workflows to maximise efficiencies
      • Self service capabilities
  • Develop and nurture effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders both within and outside of HR.  Where appropriate, use interpersonal skills to influence and challenge wider systems related decision making and strategic focus.   
  • Manage the iTrent contract and MidlandHR relationship and those of other HR systems where required.
  • Ensure appropriate support is in place for HR colleagues and other users in their use of the system including ensuring the provision of support with training and coaching of new members of the wider team where needed and availability of user guides and protocols where needed. 
  • Keep abreast of wider technological developments, such as AI and to consider their strategic potential within the HR system offering.
  • Attend HRIS forum meetings and use networks to further identify opportunities for enhancements and developments in own field. 
  • Data, Reporting & Analysis
    • Lead on the on-going development and production of a people management information approach, measuring service interventions and impact on business results
    • Through the data analyst and in conjunction with other senior members of the HR team where appropriate, work to ensure:
      • the design, development and production of regular HR dashboards and/or KPIs across the HR function to support the HR Leadership and Business Partner teams and to inform decision making both within HR and across the wider organisation at senior levels.
      • the effective provision of bespoke/ad-hoc reports, statistics and analyses, including data interpretation where appropriate, for HR and the wider business in response to business requirements ensuring the design report content and formats meet stated requirements
      • the scheduling and running of a regular suite of monthly HR reports based on agreed specifications, including a regular reporting timetable and automated scheduling wherever possible.
      • the provision of data and statistics as required to support requirements for internal and external audits, client tender projects and survey submissions and that data required in relation to all regulatory and legislative requirements is delivered in a timely way to the required standards
      • the development of a close working relationship with Finance and IT and other key stakeholders to ensure accuracy and data/reports shared between the functions match and complement each other
      • effective, regular data audits/data cleanse activities to ensure accurate, consistent and complete data.
  • Accountable for ensuring all systems, processes and data meet GDPR requirements

 

Your Skills and Experience

  • Experience of a wide variety of HR and ATS systems and applications gained within an HR function.   Specific knowledge of either iTrent, Harbour or Cornerstone desirable.

  • Clear aptitude for, and experience in, numerical analysis and data insight with strong Microsoft Excel skills (including Power Query) and knowledge in the use and capability of reporting software and tools including Business Objects and Microsoft Office applications such as Power BI and Power automate or similar.

  • Experienced in managing, coaching, developing and supporting a team of direct reports
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, able to prioritise and manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Demonstrable experience of dealing at the level of senior management within an organisation, balancing conflicting views, and able to influence through strong and clear communication and influencing skills, verbal and written.    Ability to talk and explain in simple and clear terms to those less technologically or analytically minded and to form effective working relationships across a wide variety of stakeholders.
