We are recruiting for an Associate to join our Employment team in Bristol. This is a full-time, flexile working opportunity and would best suit a qualified lawyer with 1-3 years' PQE.

 

Your Role

As a key addition to our growing team, you will have your own high quality and varied caseload, working closely with the Partners and other team members on the following:

  • Employment tribunal claims (almost exclusively acting for Respondents)
  • Helping employers manage issues in the workplace such as disciplinaries, grievances, restructuring and redundancies
  • Supporting clients with outsourcing contracts, contract drafting and client training
  • Enforcement of post-termination restrictive covenants
  • Drafting consultancy agreements, staff handbooks, settlement agreements and other employment related documentation

 

Your Skills & Experience

We are looking for:

  • A qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) with at least 1 year PQE in employment law
  • A forward thinker, with excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills, you will be self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines
  • Commercial awareness with enthusiasm for business development, and an appetite for keeping up to date with the latest developments in your practice area and sector focus
  • An ambitious and enthusiastic team player, able to support senior fee earners and contribute to our collaborative culture
