Job Introduction

We are searching for a Contract Senior Associate or Managing Associate to support our Real Estate Team in Bristol, specifically within the Future Energy space, on an initial 6-month contract. The role is offered on a day rate basis, Inside IR35 and we require candidates to be immediately available or have a short notice period. 

Main Responsibilities

Key duties you will be involved with include:

  • Dealing with drafting option agreements and leases on a wide range of clean energy projects (including wind, solar, battery storage, electric vehicles, and hydro). 
  • Undertaking due diligence on these projects to include a review of title, enquiries, and searches. 
  • Acting in relation to the financing of clean energy projects and large-scale acquisitions/disposals which will involve working with individuals in our corporate, banking, construction, planning and regulatory disciplines. 
  • There will plenty of opportunity for client contact, running own files and early responsibility for delivery of transactions etc. 
  • Providing support in relation to other aspects of work undertaken in the team including landlord and tenant work, corporate support, and public sector work. 
  • To provide all our clients with a quality service in accordance with the Firm’s procedures. 
  • To maintain and improve relations with existing clients and spot opportunities for business development and enhancement of the current services we offer. 

The Ideal Candidate

  • A Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales qualified, or Scottish qualified, or Dual Qualified in both England & Wales and Scotland), with the ability to work independently with limited supervision. 
  • At least 3 years of post-qualification experience within real estate.
  • Ideally you will have experience working with clients in the future energy sector
  • A forward thinker, with excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills, you will be self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines 
  • Able to develop a deep understanding of your client’s business needs, and act in the best interest of the firm and the client
