Contract Lawyer - Litigation

Job Introduction

We are recruiting for a property litigation Contract Lawyer to support our Real Estate team. The Property Litigation Team is one of the teams within the Real Estate Group, we are however open to lawyers with litigation experience in other practice areas. 

This role is working on a new project TLT have secured. Working on an initial 6-month contract, competitive day rate and must work via an umbrella company. We do however have several potential role within this practice group at TLT currently. 

Main Responsibilities

Key duties you will be involved with include:

• Experience handling a litigated caseload
• Excellent client care.
• Good IT skills / confidence in using a case management system.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work within a team environment.
• Undertaking due diligence on these projects to include a review of title, enquiries and searches.
• Providing support in relation to other aspects of work undertaken in the team including landlord and tenant work, corporate support and public sector work.
• Providing our clients with a quality service in accordance with the Firm’s procedures

The Ideal Candidate

You will be able to demonstrate a similar supportive, flexible and driven ethos and will have accumulated the following experience and skills:

• Qualified solicitor 3yrs + PQE
• Must have experience litigation experience.
• Ability to juggle a busy and varied workload
• Enthusiastic & team approach to working

We have a broad practice in property litigation, advising clients with expertise in the leisure, retail and financial services sectors on a wide variety of contentious matters. These include landlord and tenant disputes, rent reviews and lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and contractual disputes. We also give strategic advice on the management of property portfolios. We act for commercial landlords and tenants, public sector bodies and housing associations, property developers, investors, telecoms operators, financial institutions, and insolvency practitioners.
