Job Introduction

We have an urgent requirement for a Contract Lawyer to support our Housing and Regeneration team, on an initial 6-9 month contract but has the possibility of extension.

This is a day rate contract working via an umbrella company.

The Role

  • Provide efficient legal services to a range of clients operating across the housing and regeneration sectors including registered providers, SME developers, residential developers, local authorities, central government, Homes England and some new entrants to the affordable housing market. 
  • Provide support to a team of Housing and Regeneration fee earners that is currently divided between two locations, in Bristol and London.
  • Advise on development projects whether they be in the local area or across the country.
  • Providing our clients with a quality service in accordance with the Firm’s procedures.

The ideal candidate

  • Someone with a minimum of 3+ years PQE with knowledge of and experience in, since qualification, Property law (particularly development)
  • Ideally some experience in residential development whether that be for registered providers, landowners, developers, funders, local authorities, Homes England
  • Ideally some working knowledge of the Affordable Homes Programmes run by both Homes England and Greater London Authority (not essential)
  • Someone who can work flexibly and under pressure as part of a team
  • A forward thinker, with excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills, you will be self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines
  • Commercially aware with enthusiasm for business development, and an appetite for keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in your practice area and sector focus
  • Understand your client’s business needs, and act in the best interest of the firm and the client
  • Ambitious and enthusiastic team player, able to support senior fee earners and contribute to our collaborative culture.
