We are recruiting for a Senior Associate/Managing Associate to join our market-leading Financial Services Disputes and Investigations (FSDI) team.
This vacancy is location agnostic, and since we are fully flexible in our working patterns, we will work with you to tailor an approach that works both for you and for us. You will always have an office that will act as your base, from which you can interact with teams face to face and access any direct support from our HR and IT teams.
Our FSDI team is one of the UK's largest teams in the field of financial services litigation and investigations, comprising over 200 people across our offices in Bristol, Manchester, London, Belfast, Edinburgh and Glasgow. We are rated by Chambers 2023 as being in the top tier of firms outside of London advising in this area. The range and quality of the work we do is exceptional.
Our team advise on a variety of contentious and quasi-contentious matters, including high value and complex litigation in the areas of: Banking, Mortgages, Motor and Asset, Professional Negligence, Financial Crime and Fraud, Cryptocurrency and Receiverships. We defend reputationally sensitive claims and undertake large scale projects for our clients in all manner of areas including remediations and fact finds.
We have a strong and diverse client base which includes the UK's major clearing banks, building societies, specialist lenders, private banks, digital banks, challenger banks, investment management companies, international banks, payment service providers and fixed charge receivers.

As we are the go-to law firm within the financial services sector, you will be working with several UK and international clients.
As a Senior Associate/Managing Associate, you will be handling a range of financial services litigation and contentious regulatory matters. You will have the opportunity to get involved in one or more of the many branches of contentious work that emanates from our excellent client base. You will quickly find which variety interests you most, and we will work with you to support your development in that field. Our track record is to develop specialisms and provide our clients with deep levels of advice and insight, which in turn helps cement our role as a true business advisor to the industry.
In your role, you will:
To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience, working within financial services litigation, or another form of commercial litigation, demonstrating transferable skills. If your experience is predominately in commercial litigation, we would expect to see a tangible interest in developing your career in financial services litigation.
