Associate - Financial Litigation

We are recruiting for an Associate to join our Financial Services Litigation team in Glasgow. This role is offered on a full-time, flexible working basis and would best suit a newly qualified lawyer looking to specialise in this sector or a junior lawyer with up to 2 years' PQE in a similar legal setting.

Your Role

As a key addition to the growing team, you can expect to be involved with:

• A varied caseload spanning broad financial litigation matters for both longstanding and new clients
• Working closely day to day with the other Associates and Partners in the team, collaborating on complex matters and meeting tight deadlines
• Working alongside our FSDI teams nationwide across our other 4 offices
• Taking an active role in business development and nurturing client relationships

Your Skills & Experience

• You must be a Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) 
• A forward thinker, with excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills, you will be self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines
• Commercially aware with enthusiasm for business development, and an appetite for keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in your practice area and sector focus
• Understand your client’s business needs, and act in the best interest of the firm and the client
• Ambitious and enthusiastic team player, able to support senior fee earners and contribute to our collaborative culture.  

Your Team

TLT has one of the largest dedicated Financial Services Disputes practices in the UK, with partner led teams in all jurisdictions. We act for a range of financial institutions including large UK banks, international banks, challenger banks and fintechs, giving commercial and practical advice to resolve disputes. 

We advise across the whole spectrum of contentious issues associated with commercial, business and consumer finance, including dispute resolution, pre-litigation management and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
