We are recruiting for a Junior Legal Secretary on a 12 month fixed term contract to join our Employment Pensions and Incentives group in Bristol. This is a full time role which can be hybrid working supporting secretaries and fee earners with a range of administrative and junior secretarial duties with the opportunity to progress. 

Your Role

As a Legal Secretary your day to day remit includes:

  • Support the team by carrying out all administrative tasks and assisting other secretaries and fee earners. 
  • Running conflict checks, setting up new clients and matters including inputting these on our case management system.
  • Adding employment tribunal critical dates and documents to our case management system
  • Monitoring and managing mailboxes
  • Assisting financial management e.g. disbursements, expenses, client balances, dealing with a range of client specific billing requirements including generating financial reports on a monthly basis, and assisting generally with our invoicing processes 
  • Making travel arrangements as needed.
  • Proof reading, amending and house styling documents.
  • Undertaking some digital dictation and copy typing.
  • Assisting with diary management as required; arranging internal and external appointments and, making arrangements for meetings; booking meetings rooms or external venues as required. 

Your Skills and Experience

  • Previous administrative experience.
  • Experience in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel are required.
  • Experience in case management systems.
  • Exceptional prioritising/organisational skills.
  • Strong ability to self-manage a large workload in a busy team.
  • Confident in communication with team members.
