We are recruiting for an Accounting Team Leader to join our Finance team in Bristol.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to add real value to the firm. By implementing a controls frameworks and standardised processes, you will play a key part in delivering accurate financial data to aid the firm’s profitability strategy and drive change.

You will work within the commercial reporting team to deliver and maintain current month end accounting and ad-hoc reporting.

 

Your Role

As an Accounting Team Leader, your remit includes:

  • Lead, coach and develop the accounting team to deliver high quality accounting processes.
  • Oversee the month end close process, troubleshooting issues to ensure a timely completion to a high standard.
  • Review monthly management accounts and ensure the general ledger is accurate.
  • Developing a new controls framework to minimise risk.
  • Lead the production of statutory reporting.
  • Manage all financial audits.
  • Coordination with other finance teams to drive process improvement.
  • Be an accounting knowledge leader.

 

Your Skills and Experience

  • Be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA), or equivalent.
  • Have strong experience in an accounting role.
  • Proven experience managing a team of varying abilities.
  • Demonstrate experience of leading finance change and creating a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Be able to think laterally to solve problems within an evolving finance team
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Comfortable working under own initiative, whilst prioritising tasks to work to deadlines.
  • Possess a natural affinity for technology, process thinking, and process improvement.
  • Preferably have knowledge of the Microsoft Power apps, and a strong desire to learn.

 

Your Team

Our Finance and Procurement team are key to strategic decision making, providing key management information, data and analysis to ensure our business runs smoothly and that we comply with all our statutory and regulatory obligations. To do this effectively, these teams take responsibility for billing, payments, credit control, purchasing, client accounting, commercial business partnering, reporting, sourcing, buying and more.
