Role Overview:

Based in our Bristol office, this role sits within Transformation and Operations where you will be working with stakeholders across the firm, including Directors and Partners to embed a culture of high-quality user-centred transformation. Working under the guidance of the Lead Portfolio Manager, the Change Project Manager will offer expertise in both project and change management across technological, strategic and operational programmes and projects. The role will partner with the firm to ensure business readiness, adoption and sustained benefits realisation from change initiatives, all aligned to the scope as defined during the initial phase. The role requires strong internal and external stakeholder engagement, with the ability to navigate the project lifecycle with ease and confidence.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Quickly build the necessary trust, credibility and relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Act as a point of escalation for the project for risks, issues and dependencies, identifying solutions and sharing via the appropriate governance route.
  • Collaborate with the Change Managers and Project Managers to ensure cohesion across the teams demonstrated by consistent high-quality delivery, business readiness and alignment to the required governance, processes and standards.
  • Work in partnership with both the wider Transformation and Operations teams, and further stakeholders across the firm, to ensure full consideration to all parties and activities when creating, then maintaining project and change readiness plans. 
  • Create user-friendly materials, guides and communications, tailored to audiences to maximise understanding and adoption, ensuring all materials, approaches and deliveries are aligned to the firm’s values, tone of voice and professional standards. 
  • Deliver cohesive impact assessments, skills set analysis, engagement plans, communication plans and associated high-level strategies across multiple initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with business areas to mitigate resistance to change, providing support where required and adapting approach to ensure the most effective change delivery.
  • Own the post go-live phase process to ensure smooth transition of changes into BAU, including communications, and ensuring wider understanding of roles and responsibilities through continued collaboration. 
  • Adhere to the governance and frameworks, maintaining effective communication with stakeholders and managing risks with appropriate mitigation solutions whenever encountered.
  • Promote lessons learned and continuous improvement across the delivery lifecycle, sharing insights with the wider team.
  • Responsible for the full project and change readiness lifecycle, which will include representation onsite at UK offices during critical phases. 
  • Be a model for high quality project management across the firm, develop, lead and implement initiatives and plans in line with the firm’s Operational Change Playbook. 

Skills and Experience

  • Strong experience in successfully leading end to end project and change management activity; including scoping, stakeholder management, delivery, risk and issue mitigation, and post Go Live closure. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences. 
  • Experience in project and change management across multiple complex, cross organisational projects at one time.
  • Experience of successfully engaging and managing stakeholders at all levels across an organisation, including those who are not early adopters.
  • Demonstrable understanding of adapting style and approach to align to the required change.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically and see the big picture. 
  • Excellent workload management and prioritisation skills.
  • Commercial awareness.
